Glenurquhart is one of the best locations from which to explore the stunning Highlands of Scotland. You will be constantly surprised at the number of activities available for you to take part in, such as walking and hiking, mountaineering, fishing, golf, skiing, watersports, horse riding, swimming and other leisure pursuits.

There are also a huge range of attractions to visit and explore: Urquhart Castle which is just down the Glen in Drumnadrochit, the Nessie Exhibitions, Eilean Donan Castle which is on the road to the Isle of Sky – which you must visit even just to say that you have been on the magical isle!

The list goes on, we would therefore like to suggest maybe staying a wee bit longer than one night so that you can explore this magnificent part of the country in your own time, and really appreciate its natural beauty.

We often find our guests telling us that they should have booked for longer. With a wide variety of outdoor activities, with the walking paradise of Glen Affric in particular at a short distance from us, we would recommend at least 3 days and 2 nights in the local area, so it seems a shame to leave too soon.
